As it was already 4 weeks ago that I "tasted" salt water, the "sea was calling" me to come again. 4 Clubmembers joined in for a tour to Oudeschild (Texel). The day before the weather seemed a bit doubtfull as there was heavy rainfall with thunderstorm. Predictions however said this to be on saterday mainly in the South of Holland. So we took our chance being cautious while looking at the sky and choosing a short crossing over the Marsdiep, paddling mostly along the coast. |

| The weather in the area turned out to be fine with blue skys and only little wind. After crossing we inspected the Mokbaai, where the whale was seen a month ago, just to find out the area is prohibited for kayakers. | |

I experienced Oudeschild as a restaurant-paradise for seakayakers. We chose a smal fishrestaurant to order some of the new herring on this first day they were available. Delecious! To help our digestion we rested on the dike while waiting for the tide to turn. Only Mattijs went for a little walk around the village. |

Our way back seemed at first to be very quiet without any wind. However soon after departure the wind increased to 4Bft, creating a nice sea to paddle, with the wind against the tide.

After returning in Huisduinen we just found out that we had been lucky wih the weather as most parts of the country had not been so fortunate with the amount of sunshine we recieved today.
